The Opportunity
As Material Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring materials and packaging are available to meet production demand efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage material and packaging orders, maintaining accurate forecasts and stock levels.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, hauliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor production plans daily, analysing plan vs actual performance and driving schedule adherence.
- Support new product launches and promotions by forecasting material requirements and minimising waste.
- Maintain master data and trackers to support clear communication across departments.
- Represent Supply Chain in meetings and contribute to site-wide improvement initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate

- Strong numeracy and literacy skills (educated to GCSE / A-Level or equivalent).
- Experience in MRP/ERP planning systems and intermediate Excel skills.
- Previous experience managing suppliers, stock control, and resolving queries.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and determination to deliver results.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible, proactive, and confident in managing competing priorities.
